CODING & MAKER
This summer’s Coding & Maker class featured custom-scripted games, tinkering sets, circuit boards, and plenty of hands-on building! Campers explored STEAM and 21st-century skills through coding projects and creative cardboard constructions. To view some of their digital work, please have your child log into their Scratch account.
SCREEN PRINTING
Campers explored multi-color printing, which involves layering different screens to create vibrant designs. They worked in groups to print on a variety of substrates including posters, tote bags, t-shirts, and even hats. Throughout the process, they used industry-standard equipment such as 4-color printing presses, commercial heat presses, flash dryers, conveyor dryers, pressure washers, and other professional tools.
BUILDING TRADES
A brand-new addition this summer, Building Trades introduced campers to hands-on skills using real tools of the trade. They explored pipe fitting to channel water from one location to another, sanded and stained wooden planks, and used screwdrivers and hammers to create their own customized nail art. Campers rolled up their sleeves and got a true taste of craftsmanship and problem-solving.
CULINARY
Campers sharpened their kitchen skills while whipping up delicious dishes like Pita Party Pizzas, sweet Crepes, fresh Caprese Salad, and cozy Pumpkin Muffins. Along the way, they explored nutrition, kept track of their creations in personalized dish diaries, and practiced essential kitchen safety techniques—all while having a blast in our bustling camp kitchen.
EMBROIDERY
Campers used a technique called "punch needling" by using embroidery hoops, needles, yarn, and a lot of patience! The end result were some beautiful mug rugs (coasters) and bag charms. All ten groups also had a helping hand in designing and tufting our 2025 Anniversary Camp Rug.
VISUAL ARTS
Drawing, coloring, painting, gluing, and crafting. Campers worked on a plethora of projects including fabric painting, Minion-inspired models, collaborative pieces, and much more!.
